Art can change your life

Before we can truly move forward, we need to first move inward. Welcome to Healing Blooms, a space where you can sink into our creative soul and let it guide our journey.

Blooming is about more than just growth—it's about creating something new from the place within you that’s healing. It's about letting your spirit flow into what you do, make, and choose. This process builds courage in a way that nothing else can. My hope is that this workshop brings you more moments to smile and more strength whenever and wherever you need it.

I’ve received so many special emails and comments about my upcycled blooms and I am thrilled to bring you a fresh and fun workshop where I show you new ways to use you artsy paper and fabric scraps and provide you with step-by-step video instruction so you can make your own joyful blooms!

Bloom making is perfect for quieting our mind and allowing us to progress on our healing journey.  In this process I have discovered that who I am is not defined by my abilities or my roles in life. It is really about how I move through life’s experiences. The path there for me has been my creative practice. It has helped me to heal, find inner peace and love myself in new ways.

Do things that help you feel better. Making Healing Blooms is one of them.

"Thank you Delight Rogers! I went a little off track digging through my fabric scraps and went with a dimensional version. Your words really resonated with me in regards to what art is all about! Pretty much everything I incorporate into my pages has an intention or special meaning. "  ~ Lisa

WORKSHOP MATERIALS

We will creatively reuse of  materials such as fabric and paper scraps, lace, and other sentimental bits.  We will piece them together petal by petal, creating a beautiful BLOOM.

Here is what you are going to need for this lesson:

Upcycled materials for your petals: scraps of fabric, lace and paper, found items, and sentimental objects!

Substrate: Canvas, wood panel, watercolour or mixed media art paper.

Paint: Acrylic paints and paint pens that you like.

Adhesive: Art medium, Mod Podge, or glue.

Tools: palette knife or plastic card and a few different sized paint brushes

"Thank you Delight! I was surprised at how much this project flowed once I started it. I used my husband’s favorite flower, purple cone flower as inspiration and just started cutting petals. I glued tissue paper petals under the fabric petals to give some depth. I stitched a pocket to hold some favorite sun prints and added the flower to the pocket to complete it."     ~ Beverly

"I almost never work with fabric, but happened to have a few pieces I had picked up at Goodwill a couple of years ago. Loved all the encouragement, the relaxing music and meditative quality of gluing all the flower petals on the paper."  ~ Adah
