Soulful Stories: A Journey to Healing Through Creativity
Every story begins with a messy, uncertain first chapter.
The kind where nothing feels clear yet, where you’re not sure where you’re going, only that something inside you wants to be expressed. That’s often where creativity meets us. Not when things are tidy or resolved, but when life feels layered, tender, or unfinished.
For many of us, the idea of telling our story can feel intimidating. We wonder if it’s worth telling. If we’ll do it “right.” If our experiences are meaningful enough to be seen. But the truth is, our stories don’t need to be impressive or polished to matter. They just need space.
This is where Soulful Stories was born.

Small steps toward healing
Art has a quiet way of helping us feel better. It doesn’t rush us. It doesn’t ask us to explain. It simply gives us somewhere to place what we’re carrying.
Art brings light, beauty, and hope. It invites us to explore what’s hidden, honor our journey, and create something that feels like a deep exhale.
Often, it’s not about making something “good.” It’s about showing up. About letting the process hold us for a while.
My own journey with art
Years ago, art making became my lifeline in a way nothing else had. I wasn’t looking to make anything beautiful or show worthy. I just needed somewhere to put what I was carrying.
Grief. Change. Questions I didn’t yet have words for.
Working with layers, collage, and intuitive marks gave me a way to speak without explaining. The paper held what I couldn’t. Over time, I began to see how powerful it was to witness my own story unfolding on the page.
Not fixed. Not finished. Just honest.
That experience stayed with me. And eventually, it became the foundation for Soulful Stories.

What Soulful Stories is really about
Soulful Stories is not about creating perfect portraits or getting proportions just right. It’s about expression. It’s about allowing your inner world to take shape through layers of paper, paint, and imagery.
In this workshop, we use intuitive collage and mixed media to explore personal stories in a way that feels safe and supportive. You’re guided step by step, with room to move at your own pace. There’s no pressure to perform or compare. No expectation to share more than you want to.
What matters is the process.
Showing up.
Letting your hands lead.
Paying attention to what wants to be revealed.
A space for healing, without fixing
Maybe you’re carrying grief or loss, or feeling the weight of change. Maybe you’re in a season of transition, or simply longing to reconnect with yourself creatively. Whatever brings you here is welcome.
This isn’t therapy, and it’s not about fixing anything. It’s about listening. About creating a container where your story can be acknowledged and honored, just as it is.
Again and again, I see how meaningful it is for people to give themselves this kind of space.
To slow down.
To be witnessed.
To remember that their story matters, even in its quiet moments.

You can feel better, too
