Healing in Layers
Healing in Layers
love is the word
At the beginning of 2024 I chose a word for the year. LOVE
The kind of love I am talking about is

I share the whole process of creating a piece of art to honour 'love' and all the meanings it carries for me, in a video on my YouTube channel!

We talked about how large canvases can be a freeing and cathartic experience, while smaller ones offer a sense of intimacy and comfort. There were some revelations!
This week, I want to keep …
Embracing the Canvas: Size Matters for Female Artists
For many artists, the size of their canvas is more than just a practical consideration; it’s a reflection of emotional and creative journeys. As female artists, we often navigate complex feelings around painting big versus small. In this post, I want to explore why we sometimes feel drawn to large canvases and why, at other times, the comfort of smaller pieces calls to us.
